Spicy Focaccia Garden - Easy Mediterranean Focaccia with Rosemary & Bell Pepper

Meow! If you love the scent of freshly baked bread, you will absolutely adore my spicy Focaccia Garden. As a little hobby cook with a keen nose for good ingredients, I know: nothing beats homemade focaccia that is wonderfully crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. This Italian flatbread is not only a visual highlight on the table when decorated with colorful bell pepper flowers, but also a savory flavor explosion thanks to the combination of aromatic rosemary and fine sea salt. The best part? You don't need any convenience products, just a little patience for the yeast dough—but anticipation is the greatest joy, after all. In this recipe, I show you exactly how to bake this Mediterranean classic at home without any fuss. Whether as a side dish for dinner or as a snack in between, this recipe is easy for beginners and simply makes you happy. Grab your flour and let's create magic in the kitchen together while the flat fills with a delicious aroma. Have fun kneading and baking, my dear human!
Ingredients
Preparation

Put the flour (250 g) in a bowl and mix with the dry yeast (4 g).
Add lukewarm water (175 ml), olive oil (30 ml), and salt (5 g) and knead everything into a smooth dough until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for about 60 minutes until it has doubled in volume—meow, give it time, it needs the rest!
Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press it into a flat bread with your fingers.

Pluck the rosemary sprig (1) into small needles and cut the red bell pepper (0.5) into thin strips or flower-shaped pieces.
Use your fingers to press small indentations into the surface of the dough and drizzle with the remaining olive oil (30 ml).

Artfully decorate the focaccia with the rosemary sprig (1) and the red bell pepper (0.5) and sprinkle with sea salt (5 g).
Bake at 200 degrees (convection) for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
