Italian Layered Salad in a Jar - Easy & Quick

recipe.header.titleBig

Meow! This is Mila. Today I'll show you how to easily whip up a wonderful Italian layered salad at home. This salad is not just a visual highlight, but also tastes incredibly fresh and Mediterranean – just the thing for a light lunch or a healthy snack. Since I, as a little cat, value quality, we skip all convenience products and rely on crunchy, fresh vegetables and homemade ingredients. The combination of savory arugula, aromatic tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and the homemade pesto dressing makes this layered salad so special. The best part? It's made in a flash and can be perfectly served in a glass to keep the ingredients crunchy. Grab your apron – it's child's play to prepare this Italian classic yourself with my step-by-step guide. You'll love it, I promise!

Ingredients

Arugula
50  g
Cherry tomatoes
100  g
Mini mozzarella
100  g
Pine nuts
20  g
Olive oil
20  ml
Balsamic vinegar
10  ml
Green pesto
20  g
Salt
2  g
Black pepper
1  g

Preparation

1

First, we wash the arugula thoroughly, spin it dry, and place it as the first layer in a nice, large glass.

2

Now we cut the cherry tomatoes into fine halves and carefully distribute them on top of the arugula.

3

In the next step, we add the mini mozzarella. A little tip from me: if you halve the mozzarella pearls, it looks even prettier in the glass!

4

For the dressing, mix the olive oil with the balsamic vinegar, green pesto, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl to create a fine emulsion.

5

Now pour the dressing over the salad in the glass. But be careful, don't purr too loudly with joy, we're almost done!

6

Finally, lightly toast the pine nuts in a pan without fat until they are fragrant, and sprinkle them on top as a crunchy topping.
