Italian Layered Salad in a Jar - Simple, Fresh & Delicious

recipe.header.titleBig

An Italian layered salad is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a healthy and aromatic meal that is easy to prepare in advance. As a little cooking cat, I love it when the different layers – from crunchy vegetables to aromatic cheese – combine in a jar or bowl to form a small work of art. This salad brings Mediterranean flair directly to your plate. The best part: It contains no processed products! We use crisp iceberg lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella, rounded off with a homemade dressing. Whether as a light lunch at the office or a stylish snack in the evening, this layered salad is made in no time and impresses with its freshness. Grab your kitchen utensils, meow in anticipation, and let’s layer this healthy Italian classic together. You will see how easy and satisfying it is to conjure up such an aesthetic and tasty dish from fresh ingredients. Have fun preparing it!

Ingredients

Iceberg lettuce
100  g
Cherry tomatoes
100  g
Corn
50  g
Mozzarella
100  g
Greek yogurt
50  g
Olive oil
10  ml
White wine vinegar
5  ml
Herbes de Provence
5  g
Salt
2  g
Black pepper
1  g

Preparation

1

Wash the iceberg lettuce thoroughly and cut it into fine strips so it forms a nice base for our layered salad.

2

Halve the fresh cherry tomatoes and drain the corn well—purr, look at how colorful that already looks!

3

Cut the mozzarella into small, fine cubes.

4

For the dressing, whisk together the Greek yogurt, olive oil, white wine vinegar, Herbes de Provence, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl to create a creamy sauce.

5

Now for the layering: Fill the lettuce into a beautiful jar, top with the tomatoes, then the corn, and finally the mozzarella cubes.

6

Finally, pour the dressing evenly over the salad. My tip: Let it sit for a moment so the Mediterranean flavors can perfectly unfold.
