Vegetarian Tarte Flambée with Goat Cheese and Honey - Simple & Crispy

recipe.header.titleBig

My vegetarian tarte flambée with goat cheese and honey is the absolute favorite in my little cat kitchen when I need something quick and crave something savory-sweet. I've interpreted this classic Alsatian recipe simply so you can easily recreate it at home. The paper-thin crust gets wonderfully crispy in the oven, while the creamy base of crème fraîche harmonizes perfectly with the spicy aroma of the goat cheese. A little drizzle of honey at the end provides the ultimate flavor kick, making this flammkuchen a real delicacy. Fresh ingredients are, of course, an absolute must for me – that's the only way it tastes just like at your favorite bakery. Whether as a quick dinner after a long day or as a fine snack in between, this dish is guaranteed to succeed for everyone and brings French flair directly to your plate. Grab your apron, let's get started!

Ingredients

Flour
150  g
Olive oil
1  tbsp
Water
80  ml
Crème fraîche
100  g
Goat cheese
80  g
Onion
1
Honey
1  tbsp
Salt
1  pinch

Preparation

1

For the dough, knead flour (150 g), olive oil (1 tbsp), water (80 ml), and salt (1 pinch) in a bowl until smooth and let it rest for a short while.

2

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius and roll out the dough very thinly on a floured surface.

3

Cut the onion (1) into paper-thin rings.

4

Spread the rolled-out dough evenly with crème fraîche (100 g).

5

Slice the goat cheese (80 g) and distribute it along with the onion rings (1) over the tarte flambée.

6

Bake the tarte flambée for about 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown and the edges are beautifully crispy.

7

After baking, decoratively drizzle the honey (1 tbsp) over the warm goat cheese and enjoy immediately.
