recipe.header.titleBig

Homemade hibiscus iced tea with mint is the perfect choice when you are looking for a natural and healthy refreshment on hot days. As a little cat with a flair for fine aromas, I particularly love this ruby-red delight because it tastes wonderfully fruity and tart, and contains no industrial processed ingredients. The vibrant color of the hibiscus, paired with the cooling aroma of fresh mint, creates a true taste experience that is ready in no time. You don't need any complicated techniques, just a little patience while the petals steep. This drink is not only a visual highlight in your glass, but also wonderfully refreshing and perfect for a relaxing break. Grab your ingredients and let's prepare this revitalizing iced tea together, which is guaranteed to taste better than anything from the supermarket!

Ingredients

dried hibiscus flowers
2  tbsp
water
500  ml
fresh mint
1  bunch
honey
1  tbsp
ice cubes
10

Preparation

1

Bring the water (500 ml) to a boil in a small pot and remove from heat.

2

Add the dried hibiscus flowers (2 tbsp) to the hot water and let them steep for about 10 minutes, until the water is deep red – purr, it already smells delicious!

3

Pour the tea through a fine sieve into a glass or pitcher and immediately stir in the honey (1 tbsp) so it dissolves perfectly.

4

Let the tea cool down briefly, then lightly pat the fresh mint (1 bunch) with your hands to release the aroma, and add it to the glass along with the ice cubes (10).

5

Stir everything briefly and enjoy your homemade hibiscus iced tea ice-cold!
