A warming, spicy Chai Latte with oat milk is just the thing to treat yourself on a cozy day. As a little foodie, I love grinding this aromatic mixture of fragrant spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom fresh and letting it simmer directly in the kitchen. This homemade Chai Latte is free from artificial flavors or industrial products and is wonderfully quick and easy to prepare. The combination of strong black tea and the natural sweetness of oat milk makes this drink a true feel-good moment. Whether as an invigorating start to the day or for a relaxing break in the afternoon – with this vegan treat, you bring that cozy café feeling right into your home. Grab your favorite mug, let's make an incomparably aromatic Chai Latte together that is not only healthy but also smells fantastic.
Ingredients
Preparation
Place the oat milk (250 ml) in a small pot together with the cinnamon stick (1), the ginger (1 slice), and the crushed cardamom pods (2).
Heat the mixture carefully over medium heat until it steams, but do not let it boil – meow, be careful not to burn it!
Now add the black tea (1 bag) to the pot, remove from heat, and let it steep for about five minutes so the fine flavors can fully unfold.
Strain out the spices and the bag, sweeten the Chai Latte with maple syrup (1 tsp) to taste, and enjoy it warm from your favorite mug.
