Dirty Chai Espresso – Spicy Coffee Specialty for at Home

recipe.header.titleBig

A Dirty Chai Espresso is the perfect combination of a warming, spicy chai tea and the bold energy of a freshly brewed espresso. As a home cook with a keen sense for flavors, I love how oriental spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves harmonize with the tart coffee note. This delicious pick-me-up is not only quick to make, but also a wonderful alternative to boring morning coffee or a cozy afternoon treat. Instead of relying on expensive instant powders, I'll show you how to create a real barista experience in your own cup using fresh spices and high-quality espresso. Preparation is easy and requires no complicated machines, just a little attention to detail. If you're in the mood for a drink that is both healthy and invigorating and turns your kitchen into a little oasis of well-being with its scent, then you must try this Dirty Chai. Grab your favorite mug and let's whip up this aromatic wake-up call together – you'll be amazed at how simple and intense homemade indulgence can be!

Ingredients

Espresso
40  ml
Milk
150  ml
Cinnamon stick
1
Cardamom pod
2
Clove
2
Black tea
1  bag
Honey
1  tsp

Preparation

1

First, gently heat the milk (150 ml) in a small pot together with the cinnamon stick (1), the cardamom pod (2), and the clove (2), but do not let it boil.

2

Add the black tea (1 bag) to the warm milk and let it steep for about 5 minutes so the spicy aromas can fully develop.

3

Meanwhile, prepare a strong espresso (40 ml).

4

Remove the tea bag and the whole spices from the milk and stir in the honey (1 tsp).

5

Finally, pour the espresso (40 ml) into a mug and top with the spicy chai milk – if you like, you can froth the milk beforehand.
