Authentic Panna Cotta with Vanilla Bean and Fruity Raspberry Coulis - Simple & Fine

recipe.header.titleBig

An authentic Panna Cotta with vanilla bean and a fruity raspberry coulis is the epitome of a perfect Italian dessert. As a home cook with a penchant for sweet delights, I especially love this dish because it is so incredibly easy to prepare despite its elegance. The velvety texture of the cream, refined with the aromatic depth of real vanilla, creates a wonderful harmony with the zesty acidity of fresh raspberries. Many think such a dessert is complicated, but the secret lies in high-quality, fresh ingredients and a little patience when heating gently. I consistently avoid gelatin powder mixes or artificial flavors – for me, only the pure power of the vanilla pod and fresh fruit go into the pot. This sweet delicacy is perfect for pampering yourself or impressing guests with a homemade, healthy dessert. Grab your whisk and let's conjure up this creamy masterpiece together that is guaranteed to melt on the tongue!

Ingredients

Cream
200  ml
Sugar
30  g
Vanilla pod
1
Gelatin sheet
1
Raspberries
100  g

Preparation

1

Soak the gelatin sheet (1) in a bowl of cold water until soft.

2

Slice the vanilla pod (1) lengthwise and carefully scrape out the aromatic seeds with the back of a knife.

3

Combine the cream (200 ml), sugar (30 g), and vanilla seeds with the scraped pod in a small saucepan and heat gently; do not let it boil vigorously.

4

Remove the saucepan from the heat, discard the pod, and squeeze the soaked gelatin sheet (1) well, then stir it into the warm cream until completely dissolved.

5

Pour the mixture into a pretty glass and let it set in the refrigerator.

6

For the topping, purée the fresh raspberries (100 g) and press through a fine sieve to remove the seeds.

7

Pour the fine raspberry purée over the set Panna Cotta and enjoy immediately.
