Ingredients

Basmati rice
100  g
Chicken breast fillet
150  g
Natural yogurt
100  g
Onion
1
Garlic clove
1
Tomato
1
Saffron threads
1  pinch
Turmeric
1  tsp
Garam Masala
1  tsp
Mint
5  leaves

Preparation

1

Wash the basmati rice (100 g) thoroughly and boil in salted water until al dente, then drain well.

2

Cut the chicken breast fillet (150 g) into bite-sized cubes and marinate with half of the natural yogurt (100 g), turmeric (1 tsp), and Garam Masala (1 tsp).

3

Slice the onion (1) into thin strips and roast in a pan until golden brown and crispy – this is my favorite step for the aroma!

4

Finely chop the garlic clove (1), dice the tomato (1), and sear in the pan together with the marinated chicken (150 g).

5

Carefully layer the cooked rice (100 g) over the meat mixture, sprinkle with saffron threads (1 pinch), and let simmer briefly over low heat.

6

For the raita, mix the remaining natural yogurt (100 g) with finely chopped mint (5 leaves).

7

Arrange the finished biryani on a plate, garnish with the crispy onions (1), and serve with the refreshing raita.
