French Salade Niçoise - Classic & Fresh Homemade

A wonderful Salade Niçoise brings the feeling of the Côte d'Azur straight to your kitchen. As a little cat with a penchant for French cuisine, I love this colorful classic because it is so wonderfully uncomplicated yet tastes incredibly elegant. This salad is a wonderful, healthy main meal that is perfect for warm days thanks to the combination of protein-rich fish, crunchy vegetables, and filling potatoes. We use only the freshest ingredients here: tender green beans, aromatic olives, and perfectly cooked eggs. It is so easy to prepare that even I, with my little paws, can conjure up a star-worthy dish in no time. You will see how easy it is to combine the individual components into a harmonious whole. Grab a bowl and let's bring a little vacation to your plate together – without complicated techniques, but with a lot of attention to detail!
Ingredients
Preparation
First, boil the potato (2) in salted water until soft, drain, peel, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Boil the egg (1) for about 9 minutes until hard, then rinse in cold water and peel.
Briefly blanch the green beans (100 g) in boiling water until crisp-tender, then plunge into ice-cold water to retain their beautiful green color.
Sear the tuna steak (150 g) briefly in a pan on both sides until still slightly translucent inside, then tear into coarse pieces.
For the dressing, whisk the olive oil (20 ml) and lemon juice (10 ml) well in a small bowl with a fork.
Now arrange all prepared ingredients together with the black olives (30 g) in a bowl and carefully drizzle with the dressing.
