These small green peppers from Galicia are delightfully aromatic and offer an exciting taste experience—sometimes you might get one that's a bit spicier than the others, like a tasty little surprise! As your home cook and cat lover Mila, I'll show you how to prepare this delicacy in just a few minutes in a pan. We skip the fuss and focus on the best, fresh ingredients. With a little olive oil and a good pinch of sea salt, the peppers unfold their full aroma. It's the perfect dish when you want an uncomplicated, healthy snack that takes you straight to the Mediterranean. Grab a pan, follow my simple steps, and enjoy this vegetarian classic comfortably at home. An absolute delight that's so simple it's guaranteed to turn out perfectly!

Ingredients

Pimientos de Padrón
200  g
Extra virgin olive oil
2  tbsp
Coarse sea salt
1  tsp

Preparation

1

Wash the Pimientos de Padrón (200 g) thoroughly under cold water and pat them very dry with a kitchen towel so they don't splatter too much in the pan later – meow, that's important for a clean kitchen!

2

Heat the extra virgin olive oil (2 tbsp) in a pan over high heat until it shimmers slightly.

3

Add the dried Pimientos de Padrón (200 g) to the hot oil and sauté for about 5 to 7 minutes until the skin blisters and turns slightly dark brown in some places.

4

Remove the pan from the heat and sprinkle the hot peppers directly with the coarse sea salt (1 tsp) before serving immediately – this keeps everything nice and crispy!
